Is it safe to continue to bbq in the rain?

The weather was fine when I started to bbq and I know I’m going to have to start a new set of coals to finish cooking all of the food I have. I live in an apartment and I’m on the second floor. I have a covered balcony and I don’t think I’ll get to wet. I want to finish the food outside because I like the taste, but I don’t know if I should.
